Cork Heritage Project

A huge congratulations to Anouk Templin in Sixth Class who placed first in the Cork Heritage Project 2019/2020 competition.
Her project was about the Everyman Palace Theatre on MacCurtain Street. Not only did she complete a very detailed and accurate project but she also built an extraordinary rotating model. 
There was an awards ceremony in the City Hall last week where Anouk was presented with an award from the Lord Mayor. She addressed the audience and spoke for two minutes about her project.

  Jin Class Submarine written by Caoimhe   The Jin Class Submarine, also known as, 094 type submarine is a war submarine in China. Jin Class submarines are 138m in length and 11,000 tons in weight. The beam is 121.5m. This war submarine is made for the Chinese army but they are deployed on the Longpo naval base on Hainan Island. According to Department of Defence’s 2019 China Military report, there are four Jin Class currently operational and another two being outfitted, at Huludao Shipyard. Superhero Day

Mercy Hospital Heroes Campaign Written by Brendan, Alex O Reilly, Mofe and Alexandria We participated in the Mercy Heroes Campaign just before midterm break. It was exciting as we had an opportunity to dress up as people we admire. Some of the younger children dressed as firemen, doctors and gardaí, our age group dressed up as historical/modern day figures that improve(d) lives e.g. Albert Einstein, Mother Teresa and Greta Thunberg. We brought in a minimum of €2 each to send directly to the Mercy Hospital- a total of €311.98 was raised. Some children brought in their own pocket money and savings! A sincere thank you for supporting this cause.
